Welcome to

The Connection Hour
A supportive one-hour discussion designed to help people build healthier communication, strengthen relationships, and develop practical life skills.
Participants may include teenagers, guardians, families, employees, or small groups. Teenagers and guardians may engage separately or together, depending on the organization and goals of the session. Working with teenagers requires a thoughtful approach that respects their developmental stage, abilities, and boundaries.
While the core topics remain consistent across all groups, the style and direction of the discussion are adapted to fit the population being served. Whether working with employees, small groups, teenagers, guardians, or families, the conversation is guided in a way that is relevant, respectful, and practical for the participants involved.
The goal is to create an environment where people can reflect, learn, and practice skills that support healthier relationships, clearer communication, and personal growth.

Sarah Livingstone

Sarah Livingstone is the founder and CEO of ARE U Motivated. Our Principles

Grounded in What Works

๐Ÿ’ช

Strengths-Based Perspective

We focus on existing abilities, resilience, and potential rather than deficits โ€” because every person already has what it takes.

๐ŸŒ

Person-in-Environment

We recognize that thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are shaped by family dynamics, peer relationships, and life experiences.

๐Ÿ“ˆ

Developmental Awareness

We tailor discussions to reflect the emotional, cognitive, and social realities of our life โ€” meeting people where they are.

๐Ÿค—

Empathy & Nonjudgment

We create supportive spaces where people feel safe to reflect, share, and explore new perspectives without fear.

๐Ÿ”ง

Skill Development

We prioritize practical tools that strengthen communication, emotional awareness, and healthy decision-making for real life.

๐Ÿ”—

Community Partnerships

Wherever people gather โ€” in-person or virtually.

Why This Works: Neuroplasticity

Neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to adapt, reorganize, and form new patterns through experience and practice. Our sessions are built on this science, empowering people to genuinely change.

๐Ÿ’ฌCommunication styles can be strengthened
๐Ÿ˜ŒEmotional responses can be reshaped
๐ŸŽฏReactions can become more intentional
๐ŸคHealthier relational patterns can be developed
๐Ÿง  Growth is always possible through reflection and practice

Small, consistent changes reinforce healthier habits over time. We emphasize awareness, reflection, and repetition in every session.
